Lighthouse Point, FL (PRWEB) June 30, 2012
Debt Management Credit Counseling Corp (http://www.dmcconline.org), a nonprofit organization (DMCC), announced today that it is now helping individuals establish monthly installment agreements with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for the repayment of their income tax debt. DMCC will prepare all the forms required by the IRS to setup an installment agreement and include the monthly payment in a debt management plan for the individual. Income tax debts that may be included are tax liabilities resulting from the filing of a Form 1040 for both single and married taxpayers. Individuals with credit cards and other unsecured debts may also choose to consolidate their monthly payments for such debts under the same debt management plan.
The IRS provides monthly installment agreements to qualified taxpayers for terms of up to 72 months. Installment terms and conditions available to an individual taxpayer are based on several factors, including the amount of tax debt owed, their personal financial information, and their tax compliance status. DMCC will determine the installment agreement terms for which the taxpayer qualifies, and will prepare and file the required IRS forms. The monthly IRS installment payment will then be collected by DMCC from the individual each month and disbursed to the IRS under a debt management plan. DMCC charges fees for debt management plans in accordance with federal and state regulations. There are no additional charges or fees by DMCC for helping individuals with their income tax debt.
DMCC has been providing consumers debt management plans to lower their credit card interest rates and monthly payments for over ten years. “Helping individuals repay their income tax debt is a further extension of our charitable mission”, said Phil Heinemann, DMCC Executive Director. “We are extremely pleased to be able to provide this value-added service to consumers, including our existing clients.”
Individuals with outstanding income tax debt interested in having DMCC setup an installment agreement for them with the IRS should contact DMCC for a free no-obligation quote. DMCC can be contacted by calling toll-free (866) 618-3328 or completing an online application form on the DMCC website.
